My name is Joe and I work for Community Science; a citizen science project run by the Moors for the Future partnership (our partners include RSPB among others) which is aimed at encouraging people to submit biological records to monitor how the uplands are responding to climate change. We are currently running a simple survey to look at abundance and distribution of 3 bird and 3 butterfly indicator species - Curlew, Swallow and Red Grouse, and Peacock, Orange-Tip and Green Hairstreak.

Would readers of this message please submit their sightings of these species to us using our on line forms? It only takes a few seconds to fill in, and would be a great help to our project.

The bird survey can be found here
http://www.moorsforthefuture.org.uk/community-science/submit-results/bird-postcard

and the butterfly survey here

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Very best wishes

Joe Margetts
