Jamestone quarry to Calf Hey.

Cold north easterly and showers.

Jamestones....

Well over 100 gulls, mainly Black-headed, some Herring and Lesser-blackbacked, one or two Greater-blackbacked.

Forty plus Canada Geese.

Four pairs of Oystercatcher.

Single Curlew.

Good numbers of Carrion Crow.

Male Stonechat.

Pair Grey Wagtail.

Small groups of Meadow Pipits on the Moor edge

Green Woodpecker heard.

Pair of Buzzards soaring over quarry.

At least five Stock Doves.

Chaffinch, Great Tit in song.

 

Calf Hey.

Pair of Great Crested Greece.

At least eight Teal

Couple of Mallard

Single Pied Wagtail.

Two Cormorant on Ogden

50 plus Canada Geese along with 40 plus Woodpigeon in fields.

One or two Mallard

One pair Oystercatche.

Hi Brian / Geoff

 

Was up later in the same day the sun was out and quite warm the wind had dropped 

Can add

1 Chiffchaff calling 

1 Treecreeper

4 Bullfinch 2m 2f

Dropped down into Clough Head Cafe bird feeding station

Siskin 6 on feeder

Lots of chaffinch m/f

Blue tit coal and Great tit and a very quick visit from what could only be a Willow Tit ? went back today but no luck
