A major pollution of the River Irwell has been reported, starting at the water treatment plant at Ewood Bridge and affecting around 25 miles of the river. http://merseybasin.org/25-mile-pollution-disaster-river-irwell/

Hi Guys,

Just read the report, disaster is an understatement by the sounds of the report. I am away at he moment but will be back home sometime tomorrow and will check out the river where I know nesting species have already started nesting.

According to the Bury Times a second case of pollutants have gone through EBSW and down the Irwell for the second time this month. FFS!!
