10:00-12:30

Cormorant, 2 on Holden Wood and 11 on Ogden,

Grey Heron, 1 on Ogden,

Mallard, 2 on Holden Wood,

Teal, 5 on Calf Hey, tucked up on the bank side,

Goldeneye, 6 on Ogden inc 2 males,

Buzzard, 2 singles,

Kestrel, 4 singles,

B.H.Gull, c20 around the reservoirs,

Common Gull, c12 through west,

Herring Gull, c80 through west in flocks to 9,

L.B.B.Gull, at least 1 adult through west,

G.B.B. Gull, 1 adult on pasture along side Ogden and immature through west,

Wood Pigeon, c20 in flocks to 9 birds,

Stock Dove, flock of 4 near Duke,

Meadow Pipit, 1 on a snowy Haslingden Moor was the only bird seen up there!

Dipper, 1 on outflows at both Ogden & Calf Hey were probably different birds,

Redwing, 2 flew up Heap Clough and c50 were feeding in a field near Calf Hey,

L.T.Tit, flock in Heap Clough and another at Clough Head,

Coal Tit, c20, mainly at various feeding sites,

Nuthatch, 2 at Calf Hey and a single on feeders at Clough Head,

Jay, singles at Heap Clough, Calf Hey and Clough Head,

Chaffinch, c20, mainly at feeding sites,

Goldfinch, c6 on feeders at Clough Head,

Bullfinch, male & female at Clough Head.
