Stoat seen at Holden Wood Res this morning, being told off by a pair of Stonechat and a pair of Reed Buntings. Weasel crossed the road near New Inn/Owd Betts this morning (we were stopped at the temporary lights coming back from AMR).

Although it isn't Rossendale it may be of interest. Just been round Entwistle Res and at 14:45, in sunshine, there was a bat flying over the wall at the outlet end. 3 Deer crossed Bury Road into the Woods below Horncliffe Tip. I think they were Roe deer as the white rump didn't appear as large as they seem to be on Sika. Nice sight on the drive to work !!
