A reliable report of Grt. Crested Grebe nest building at Clowbridge res. not much chance of success I'm afraid. Too much disturbance from the dogs etc. It goes to show that if given the chance birds will prosper, sadly I would think that it will all come to nothing. Bob.

i went to holden wood about 3.30 - i saw 5 cormorants perched, 1 g c grebe - there were a pair 4 days ago , 6 lapwings on the right and then heard more on the left but did nt see them plenty of carrion crows to the right too .....heard 1 moorhen, 5 mallards went to dunsop today - saw 120 min oystercatchers...
