Heavy snow over night, 2 degrees this morning, calm and sunny. Large mobile flock of Redwing along the cycle track, possibly 50 plus going north. Two Mistle Thrush at the feeding station, unusual at the station but chopped apples may have something to do with their presence. Regards Brian.

First light 0745, 1 inch of snow on the ground, -7 degrees, calm, Sun coming up. Several kilos of peanuts, sunflower hearts, niger, mixed seed, chopped fruit and fat laced with all of the previous. Sit back in the warm, cup of tea/toast and start counting, now thats Bird watching....... Blackbird......
