We took a look in the fields above our house (Bolton) - not a lot - about 6-7 Reed Bunting in a flock, 40-50 Meadow Pipit, a female Stonechat and one of the Barn Owls at its nest hole.

The view was very clear over towards Knowl Hill nd there seemed to be a grass fire there, did you see it?  Hopefully less damaging at this time than later in spring.

No fire there Jim, though quite a large area on Ashworth Moor (between Knowl Hill and the road) had been recently burnt.  It happens every year there, some idiot with nothing better to do I suppose. Better now than during April or May.

Bob.
