Gorgeous sunny day with a cool strong wind.

2 Male Wheatear
2 Male Reed bunting
1 Male Goldeneye
15-20 Redwing
Lesser Redpoll singing in flight and perched for some time.
Great Spotted Woodpecker drumming

A couple of strange wind swept individuals in a florists van!

Nice to meet Dave Ousey, how did you go on Dave?

Ste,Saw a Wheatear in the small quarry above Cowm as we discussed, looked back to shout you but you had gone! Did`nt see much on the west walk but as I got near the quarry saw a male Wheatear at the head of the valley.Only other bird of note was a very quick fleeting glimpse of a "Blackbird"in the quarry itself,I wonder if it could have been a Ring Ouzel ? Where did you see the L Redpolls?

Hi Dave

Glad you managed the Wheatear.

The Redpoll was singing in the trees near the seating at the far end. It kept flitting between here and the opposite side where the hazel trees run along the wall.

that wind was bloody strong on the far edge I lost my cap at one point!

Ring Ouzel...would be nice hey!
