Copied from Vismig reports:

Yesterday
Thursday April 12th 2007 - Haslingden Laund/Top O'th Slate
12noon - 1300hours
Meadow Pipit: 2

Willow Warbler: Only 1 bird singing today at Top O'th Slate.

Friday April 13th 2007 - Haslingden Laund/Top O'th Slate
0645hrs-0830hrs
Wind: NE 5mph
Movement: NW unless specified different.

Very quiet this morning in fact dire!! with only 6 Meadow Pipits in total
moving over 1 hour 45mins - cant remember it being so quiet!

Meadow Pipit: 6
Redpoll: 8 (4 South)
Lapwing: 3
Pied Wagtail: 2
Greenfinch: 2

Willow Warbler: Now 5 birds singing at Top O'th Slate.

Regarding the discussion on the dearth of Meadow Pipit passage.  Things
around here have not changed any during the past 20 years. Been checking old
records back to mid 1980s and the Pipit passage is about normal for here! a
count of 200 birds in any morning watch would be exceptional during the
Spring months. This applies to be the case here at Laund (watching South -
North) and also at Haslingden Grane (watching East - West) I guess the
majority all prefer to travel along the West coast!! during Spring unless
anyone knows any different...

Cheers,
Bryan.
