Clowbridge Res 11:00hrs
Very poor weather
1 G.C.Grebe, min. 3 singing Willow Warblers, 1 Swallow moving N, 1m Stonechat, 1 M.Thrush in song and min. of 4 Wheatear with 1m. displaying and singing to f. in S. bay. 2 Swallow at Dunnockshaw prob. resident + 1 at Goodshawfold. Chiffchaff in song at Stoneholme, 6 H. Martin over Crawshawbooth nest site. Min.48 Rook nests at rookery there.

E.B.S.W. 18:40hrs
c4 B.H.Gull, c70 mainly Swallows small numbers of H.Martins and S.Martins disturbed by Sparrowhawk. 46 P.Wagtails flew off N.W.at dusk, 2 Blackcap in song and 7 Rook nests at Ravenshore.

21/04/07 Great Hameldon by way of Great Clough.
Pr Kestrel, pr Grey Partridge, 6 Stock Dove and 4 Wheatear, no Dots yet!

Theres an awful lot of Ring Ouzels about at the moment (check the G.M. and East Lancs forums). Surprised there aren't more reports for the valley.
