18:30 - 21:00 hrs
3 Reed Bunting, 2 m + 1 juv. Stonechat, Willow Warblers still in good voice , 2 Redpoll, Kestrel, Pied Wagtail, 2 G.C.Grebe on the water, c6 B.H.Gull inc. 1st juv. of the year. 20 Canadas, 1 Grasshopper Warbler, juv. Blue Tits in nest inside an Ash at very low level. 1 Kestrel over Clough Bottom, 1 m Wheatear at Compstons Cross, c20 swift feeding over moors, 2 Swallow over res. Several small flocks of Starlings heading towards Burnley during the evening largest c45.

Forgot to mention the bloody midges are fierce up there at the moment with all this humidity. So if your going up there take some repellant or... a large cigar.
