Having been rain off from Clowbridge (male Stonechat) and not even bothering to set off around Clough Bottom because the rain was so heavy, the day improved as I was getting out of the car at home where a male Sparrowhawk was persistantly trying to catch swallows from a group of around 5 or 6 out our back! Also at home a male Bullfinch, several family parties of Chaffinch, Greenfinch and Goldfinch, pair of Collared Dove, family of Blue Tits, Wren, Dunnock, Jackdaw, family party of House Sparrows with around 6 Swifts overhead and a L.B.B.Gull flying West! The sun's out now! Regards, David Nuttall
