fogot to mention the dargon flies i noticed -  noticed a greenish coloured one with a fat head looked like a helicopter...near the redbeed....saw one 5 times -  hard to tell if it was the same one  .....the 5th one i saw was more towards the farm  so possibly 40 metres  from the other sghtings

saw a red one which was smaller - near  the reedbed ad one on musbury

First one could be Emperor which tend to look greenish especially at the front, bluer towards the rear. But Southern Hawker has greenish spots and markings on thorak.

Second sounds like Common Darter, assuming you mean smaller than a hawker, but not as small as a damselfly?
