Ina and anyone else whom maybe interested.

I have spoken with Charlie earlier today and we have decided to give it another bash mothing from 9pm this coming Saturday September 8th 2007 at Top 'Oth Slate, Haslingden.  We will probably carry on until about 1am approx.

Obviously everything depends on the weather etc but if you want to check or anything please phone me on my mobile: 07950193536

If coming please bring torch, camera, hot drink and snack.

Cheers,
Bryan.

Out of interest, Bryan, is there anywhere handy to park for those in cars?

Hi Jim, This is a problem.  There is immediate parking for just a couple of cars (within approx 50 yards of mothing) but we usually take up much of this with having a transit loaded with the generator and lamp gear etc if possible, after that there is parking but its some 200/300 yards away approx and would obviously have no lighting in this area.

Cheers,
Bryan.

I have checked more thoroughly this morning (Wednesday) and we could possibly get about 3 cars at the immediate laybye if they went nose to the wall (thats if its possible to go nose to the wall), other than that the next parking which would take about 4-5 cars is approx 200 yards further on at the side of the actual Lane - but here the cars would be very isolated and it is pitch black.  Probably for more security it would be better parking at the bottom of the Lane on Hud Rake (the main road at the bottom) itself where you have street lighting and then walking up to Top O'Th' Slate which would take between 5-10mins.

I'll be there Bryan.
Jim. If we get together at the bottom we could drive up in one car maybe?

Hi Ina -
Sounds like a good idea - either that or park up and walk up in a group?

Assuming weather is Ok I'll be there and Isabel fancies coming too. I'm going to set my trap up at home to run overnight.

So I suggest parking on Hud Rake and walking up (from the map it looks as if we walk up Higher Lane, is that correct?

I'll email you my phone and mobile number so we can get in touch in case of last minute problems.

Hi Jim,
I wouldn't walk up from the bottom. If you don't mind walking a bit it's easier to go up the lane and park further on than the meeting place, that is if it's how I remember it, it's years since I've been up there. We will sort something before Saturday night anyway.
