A male Scaup,1-Coot (very unusual on this reservoir) 6 Tufted Duck,30+ Mallard,2 Grey Heron and very close veiws of a male Sparrowhawk, made up a good evening stroll.The first 2 species have never been recorded by myself at this location.There was a report,last night of a Common Scoter on Spring Mill Reservoir,Whitworth at 5-30pm,but,when I got there at 6-30pm the bird had departed!
