Hi There

I am not sure how I found this site but it prompted me to visit Haslingden Grane in the hope of seeing a Crossbill.

Alas that didn't happen but I did see, in addition to some of above list, a solitary Stonechat at the back of Calf Hey Resevoir and a group of 10 or so Coal Tit.

Cheers

Steve

Welcome to the forum, Steve.

I'm afraid the Grane Crossbills can be very elusive. Bryan puts in hours on his vismig so deservedly sees things we dip out on.

Did you really travel from Stalybridge to see our Crossbills?

"I'll be back" as an American State Govenor once said.

I have yet to see a Crossbill and the 35 minutes it takes me to get there would be well worth it!!!

I will be over with my son, half term already, through next week just to see.

Great site you have here and if nothing else Haslingden Grane proved to be a very pleasant walk.

Cheers

Steve
