Irwell Vale 1 Swallow N. overhead 130 L.B.B.Gull moving S.E. in 9 groups during course of afternoon + 14 moving N.W. 2 Kingfisher on river 1 Nuthatch singing c6 Collared Dove 1 Stock Dove 2 Pr Long Tailed Tit G.S.Woodpecker calling All expected species either present or in song, just 3 Goldfinch seen though.
E.B.S.W. circular walk. Pr Goosander on river 1 Chiffchaff in song 2 Willow Warbler in song 1 Kestrel hunting over railway line 1 Peregrine flew S. 1 Dipper on river c20 mostly Sand Martins but 1 House Martin and 4 Swallows present. (thanks to P.Fyldes and D. Haworth). Good numbers of Pied Wagtails probably 40+ 13 Magpies
