E.B.S.W. and Irwell Vale12:30hrs
Min. of 40 Swallows, 20 Sand Martins and 4 House Martins feeding and resting.
10 Willow Warbler in song
1 Chiffchaff in song
2 Goldcrest in song
1 Nuthatch calling at Irwell Vale
2 Stock Dove
2 Jay
1 Dipper - river well up.
1 Oystercatcher flying N. calling - as they do.
6 Pied Wagtail - evening counts this week have been as high as c60 birds
1 Grey Wagtail
3 Rook nests at Ravenshore

Marl Pits 15:00 hrs
1 Willow Warbler in song.

Just a single Blackcap so far at Ewood Bridge on the 7th.

Hi Bob
I've just got back from a walk down there and was pretty sure of a Blackcap singing at the Haslingden end of the sewage works.
