David Sowter, who coordinates the north west twite project, came over tonight and met Peter Fyldes, John Hallsworth and myself.  We found at least 6 twite on the moor edge near Brittania Quarry.
Also seen were the following
1 grey heron
7 adult Canada geese with 10 goslings
12+ lapwing
1 little ringed plover
3 snipe
14 lesser black back gull
3 wheatear
1 pied wagtail
good numbers of sky larks and meadow pipits

cheers Kevin

The info was put to good use then Kevin?
I came across David by accident one day while he was ringing. Fascinating chap to listen to, seemed to know every bird he caught.

Hi Ina

We haven't found out where the twite I photographed came from, but now that we are aware that some of the twite are ringed we will look more carefully and see if we can put the info to good use. David came across to check out the site and gave John advice on where to put seed down for them.

cheers Kevin
