I've had an email from the manager of Whitworth Quarry.  Would everyone take note, please?


Dear Sir/Madam

I have been informed this morning that members from of the Rossendale
Ornithologists Club have been on the quarry site at Whitworth over the
weekend.

Sorry to be a kill joy but the quarry is off limits to members of the
public due to Safety reasons. I am obliged to define the quarry boundery by
law. This means the fence line all around the quarry is the limit to which
members of the public are allowed to come to.
