I ran my MV trap last night and got a reasonable selection of moths.  I've uploaded some of the photos to my Photobucket site.

Sorry they're not posed very well - by the time I'd checked them it was quite warm and the little beggars were quite lively.  I had to put them in the fridge for a while to have any chance of a piccie.

Impressive Elephant Hawkmoth there Jim.

I have not had our trap out as yet but I am glad you have reminded us to do this. Thanks.

Hi Jim, you've got a great assortment their, well impressed with the Buff Ermine.

Charlie is at present up at Gait Barrows where I believe last night they set up 7 traps (probably RSPB chaps- (dont know outcome yet) but they where attempting to get lots because yesterday evening I believe was the National Moth Night........ odd ones which you show in your photos have also recently been caught by again Charlie (at Gait barrows) and also by Brian Clegg at Oswaldtwistle (eg: White Ermine & Scalloped Hazel)

Catch up soon.

Bryan.
