Hurst Lane & Chapel Hill area Just a single Redwing feeding on haws late morning as the cloud was clearing but four were present this afternoon in same area. There was a notable increase in Blackbird numbers along the hedges with c10 in one area along with c4 Song Thrush and a single Mistle Thrush. Other species seen were c3 Goldcrest, 1 Bullfinch + 1 at Marl Pits, 1 Jay, 1 G.S.W. c10 Goldfinch along with good numbers of both Chaffinch and Greenfinch, 1 Sparrowhawk, plus usual small numbers of Blue & Grt. Tits. c12 House Sparrow and c30 Starlings were in gardens at Constablelee. Oh, and a single L.B.B.gull moving S. over Rawtenstall.
