A party of 12 Crossbill`s (6 males and 6 females) feeding on the pine cones in the small plantations to the west of the reservoir.Then perching out in the open in the larger trees.Watched for 1.5 hours the birds ranged from the plantation at the top of Cowclough Hamlet to the uphill section going north (200yards) 2 Dippers,1 Cormorant,35 BH Gull,33 Mallard, 3 Tufted Duck,3 Blackbird,4 Goldcrest,3 Blue Tit,2 Great Tit,1 Grey Wagtail,1 Pied Wagtail,Carrion Crow, one with peculiar white feathering on its back.
