Cowm    12 crossbills again present giving excellent views.  birds seen on both sides of res. thanks for the tip off Dave. Other birds seen - 1 cormorant, c60 mallard, 3 tufted duck, 3 goosander, 7 common gull, c 70 black headed gull, 2 great black backed gull over, 12 lesser black back gull over, 1 kestrel, 2 raven and 2 goldcrest.
Spring Mill Res     1 great crested grebe, 2 goldeneye, 20 black headed gull, 1 common gull and 1 little owl.

Wallbank Lodge      2 mute swan, 8 mallard, 1 tufted duck & 2 moorhen.

Good photo`s Kevin! Hope you did`nt get to cold.Little Owl looked fairly close at Spring Mill.No sign of Dipper on streams from Cowm but nice Grey Wagtail.See you at the bird race on the 11th January.
