Mallard, 3 on filter beds & pair on Ogden,
Kestrel, 1, perched on hawthorn,
Red Grouse, pair & two singles on wet moss,
Grey Partridge, 1 calling,
Pheasant, 1 calling,
Golden Plover, 2 & 3 on wet moss,
Curlew, 1 flew over wet moss, (my first was yesterday which flew calling over Rawtenstall)
Lapwing, pair at Alden,
Snipe, 1 flushed off wet moss,
B.H.Gull, c20 on filter beds,
G.S.Woodpecker, 1 drumming in snig hole & 1 calling at Strongstry,
Green Woodpecker, 1 calling in Buckden Clough,
Nuthatch, 1 singing at Strongstry,
Treecreeper, 1 at E.B.S.W,
Skylark, c20 mainly in song,
Meadow Pipit, just 2!,
Song Thrush, c6 in song,
Mistle Thrush, 2 in song,
Redwing, c8 in Buckden Clough,
Blackbird, c30 good numbers around,
Blue, Great , Coal and L.T. Tits in good numbers,
Dunnock, c12 singing birds,
Jackdaw, c40 at Ewood Bridge,
Starling, c12, some in song!,
House Sparrow, c4 at Irwell Vale,
Gold, Green and Chaffinch in good numbers,
