9 Pair Lapwings on road side meadow + 2 pair on opposite side
38 Canadas
1 Pair Oystercatcher
1 Heron
2 Pied Wagtails
1 Chiffchaff singing
6 Black headed gulls
1 Great crested grebe calling
2 Swallows

Calf Hey
Siskin singing near Rossendale Way
1 Great spotted woodpecker calling
Good number of Coal tits

I also visited Holden Wood after 3pm :-


32 Canada
8 Lapwing in the road side meadow, 3 on the opposite side

1 Pr oystercatcher

1 Moorhen

7 Mallard

1 G C Grebe

12 min B H Gulls

plenty of Carrion Crows, Magpies, Woodpigeons,


At Jamestone Quarry:-

1 lapwing lfying over, 3 L B B Gulls, 6 B H Gulls, and the usual C crows, Magpies, Woodpigeons
