Hi
I saw this damselfly  yesterday but don't know what it is, any clues?

Hi Ian
My good lady says Female Common Blue, biggest clue is the very small spike on the tip of the abdomen ( just make out in large picture)

Butterflies are spot on. We have had very few in the garden of late but yesterday we had a small skipper and two meadow browns which was quite nice......then the rain started!

the damselfy is a female large red it is the same as the one in my book
dragonflies of great britain and ireland
