Good mistle thrush count Kevin. I had 8 yesterday pillaging a rowan tree. Going off past years it seems these flocks appear as a precursor to the main winter thrush invasion due soon. I wonder if they are continental birds.
I wondered whether these may have been continental birds as I have been seeing mistle thrushes in 2s and 3s in the last couple of weeks, bit I suppose there is probably no way of knowing.
Hi, If you look on the Trektellen (vismig) website there doesn't seem to be any records entered of Mistle thrush coming in yet. It's interesting reading, Plenty of Pink feet and Meadow Pipit at the minute.
Not to say they aren't getting in under the wire tho!!
