Having just been for a walk alongside the Lancaster Canal at Tewitfields Locks (more or less where you leave the A6 and take the Burton Road (A6070) approx 1/2 mile North of Pine Lakes at Carnforth. There where about 150 mixed Martins and Swallows feeding up above the Canal.  Also there are several farms around here still holding Swallows.
