A full count was OK but at times it threatened with low cloud and could be seen to be present both in the M6 Corridor below to my West (Nr. Burton In Kendal) and also thick in the Kirkby Lonsdale valley to the East.  but somehow up until about 1000hrs the both never met together in the middle and there was always a clear corridor that is up until about 10 minutes, when both sides met and made it full on fog with no vis, it started to clear again and was OK until 1200hrs.  Once it cleared on the Kirkby Lonsdale side, it was quite notable that some large flocks where using this valley to proceed North..Great Starling squadrons where coming through with vengeance and heading East one party at 450 and one party at 150. My first Bramblings eg: 2 separate pairs. Snipe yet again..
