No sudden drop in numbers at the feeding stations, all seemed to have survived the cold spell amazingly well.
Unusual for here a 10/15 flock of Goldfinch have been around for a couple of days. A G s woodpecker was tapping on a BT junction box this morning, and the Robins were singing. The farmer above buckden woods has muck spread a couple of fields which has attracted large numbers off corvids, probably 100 + and also 10 + Lapwings, and several Meadow pipits and Pied wagtails. Our resident Tawny owls are very vocal.
