Grey Heron, 1 flew onto Holden Wood,
Canada Goose, c20 scattered throughout the valley with one bird sitting,
Mallard, c12, mainly males,
Goldeneye, single males on Ogden and Calf Hey,
Red Grouse, 1 flushed on the tops,
Pheasant, 1 calling at Holden Wood,
Moorhen, 1 in Troy,
Lapwing, c12 mainly Holden Wood and on the tops,
Golden Plover, flocks of 5 & 36 on the tops,
Curlew, around 5 pairs, good numbers!
B.H.Gull, c6,
Wood Pigeon, c12,
Stock Dove, pair,
G.S.Woodpecker, pair at Holden Wood + single at Calf Hey,
Skylark, c10 singing birds,
Sand Martin, 2 over Calf Hey heading north,
Meadow Pipit, c30, some heading north,
Grey Wagtail, pair at Holden Wood,
Pied Wagtail, 2 pairs,
Wheatear, c15, good numbers present including singing males,
Mistle Thrush, 2 singing birds,
Wren & Dunnock around 6 of each,
Willow Warbler, c15 singing birds,
Coal Tit, c6 singing birds,
L.T.Tit, 1 gathering food,
Goldcrest, 1 singing bird,
Jay, pair at Calf Hey,
Raven, single bird over the moors,
Green Gold and Chaffinch in numbers and song,
Redpoll, 2 singing birds,
Siskin, 1 in conifers at Calf Hey and 1 calling at Troy,
Reed Bunting, pair.

We also got about 3 Crossbill feeding on cones at Calf Hey.
