Swinnel Brook has been polluted again resulting in all the fish and insect life being wiped out with consequences to the bird life.
I followed the trail of death from Helmshore up to Swinnel Brook on Friday noting dead wild brown trout up to 4lbs and hundreds of smaller fish some of which were being taken by herons no doubt to kill their chicks with.
The pollution ended at Holchem Chemicals Distribution Depot.
This is not the first time this company has polluted my living space, they are a disgrace and should be made aware of how local people feel so feel free to air your views.
If you have any doubts  you can always follow the footpath from Commerce St along the brook and note the dead worms until you arrive at Holchems Depot.
The hit on our environment is severe and I am pretty wound up about it.
