Grey Heron, 1 feeding on edge of Ogden,
Canada Goose, a flock of 9 flew out of quarry down onto Holden Wood,
"Grey" Goose, a flock of ten birds flew west at 11:30, too distant for certain I.D. but contrasting shades on wings makes Greylag a possibility.
Teal, 2 males on Holden Wood Res,
Mallard, 40 on Holden Wood and 6 on Calf Hey Res,
Sparrowhawk, female twice,
B.H. Gull, c30 in small flocks,
Common Gull, 2 on Holden Wood,
L.B.B.Gull, c12 west,
Wood Pigeon, c30,
G.S.Woodpecker, 2,
Green Woodpecker, 1 yaffled at Calf Hey,
Wren, just 1!
Mistle Thrush, 4 at Holden Wood,
Redwing, c30,
Fieldfare, c250 including flocks of 120 & 80,
Blackbird, c12,
Blue Tit, c12m quite vocal,
Great Tit, 3 pairs, quite vocal,
Coal Tit, c8 including 6 at feeders at Clough Head. 1 singing!
L.T.Tit, two small flocks,
Jay, 1 at Calf Hey,
Starling, c12,
Greenfinch, 4,
Chaffinch, c12,
Goldfinch, c8 in small flocks,
Bullfinch, 1 at Clough Head.
