11:30 hrs approx A quiet walk down river from The Holme First bird of note was a single Swallow over Ewood Bridge then c7 inc. 1 House & 1 Sand Martin over sewage works Chiffchaff in usual place + 1 at Groundwork Pr Blackcap nr E.B.S.W. gates, m in song 2 pr Coal tit in the area 1 Willow Warbler in song at Ewood Bridge Grey Wagtail at Ewood Bridge Pr Goosander at Newhallhey Dipper in song at Longholme, Rawtenstall + 1pr at Leabrook 1m Bullfinch at Leabrook Bob.

Hi Bob

In addition - 1pr Goosander, 1 kingfisher, 1 Moorhen, 2 Canada Geese at IrwellVale

Since it rained I went to Ashworth Res, no sign of any large water fowl, just   8 Goosander, plus gulls etc.  They must have kept going.
