Wood warbler very visible singing and catching insects on the wing in Lumb vale near the old bridge over the river, i assume this is the bird David saw, but i think it is not the same bird i had at Porritt lodge as it was still there this morning ?, also two pairs Blackcap, several Willow warblers and one Chiffchaff.

Pair of Treecreepers carrying nest material but could not find nest site.

A friend in Irwell vale described what could only be a male Whitethroat singing on top of a bush in his garden yesterday.

A pair of Nuthatch have partially filled in an old woodpecker hole in Irwell vale and nesting.
