Only had Hebrew Character in trap for last 2 weeks until it rained.

last night & night before:-

Powdered Quaker

White Shouldered House Moth

Flame Carpet

Scalloped Hazel

Dark-barred Twin-spot Carpet

May have been more, but they would be inside the frog I found in there. wink

It's been ages since I ran my trap, Ina. Must give it a whirl again soon. I don't think I ever had a House Moth, though. The larvae apparently eat clothes so watch out.

Hi Jim

You may not have had a House Moth in your trap....but have you ever had a frog.  It gave me a bit of a fright I can tell you!  biggrin.gif

No I don't think so. It was the wasps and burying beetles that I dreaded. The latter you could smell as soon as you opened the trap.

Can I ask what type of bulb and wattage you use?

Hi Ste

Until now I have borrowed a 15w Actinic Heath type (battery op) from B.C.

Now I own, but have not used yet, a similar one run from the mains.

I'm told this will attract more species due to the mains power supply causing the tube not to flicker as much.

Hope this helps

Regards

Ina

me again Ste.

Just back from hols, so sorry for delay in replying.  The other thing about mains supply is the tubes last longer.
