19:00hrs to dusk

1 Whinchat - still present in same area - S. bay

1 juv. Cuckoo - back pond

Min 3 Kestrel hunting - good numbers all around upper Limy valley.

c5 Willow Warbler calling

Pr Raven flew W.

1f Goosander

Min. 100 Swift arrived from nowhere at 20:30 hrs still present feeding along E. Bank over moorland at 21:00 hrs.

Hi Bob,

Just done a quick search and I think that could be the first Cuckoo sighting in Rossendale this year.
