1 Whinchat - usual bird present since 20/07/11

c 50 Meadow Pipit

3 Pied Wagtail

11 Mallard

2 Redpoll

32 Canada Geese

Jay calling from woods

1 Raven flew E. then 2 flew W.

Compstons Cross 09:00hrs

c50 Swallow over moorland but no discernable movement.

7+1 Redpoll flew E.

5 Curlew flew W.

3 Wheatear on walls nearby.

just came back form clowbridge and clough bottom no common scoter

what is the best place to look out for this whinchat....any markers?

Hi Sarfraz, regarding Whinchat, walk from the boathouse into the S. bay just past the inlet. Whinchat has been perched on the wall thereabouts for some weeks now. Good luck.
