Woodpigeon begging parents for food last week in memorial Gardens, at least 4 Pied Wagtails present, Robins singing, 1-2 Blackbirds.....very scarce since breeding period

House Martins still visiting nest sites last week in haslingden but numbers have dropped last couple of days.

Large flock of STarling present.....over 50 and many of them coem to my house for food, with a few Sparrows and Jackdaws.  Today at least 5 Jackdaws came.   A male Sparrow braved them and had a bit to eat.  I thought the Jackdaws might make a dash for him.

 Visted Top o the Slate and just  few Mipits - appeared locals, 3 Goldfinch, At least 3 lapwing heading northwards, 3 lbbg's heading north too.    Also a Kestrel up there.
