Sparrowhawk on Monday 12 December over Memorial Garden's/Manchester Road......mobbed by Pigeons and Starlings......2 Mistle Thrush in Memorial Gardens last week
3 Jackdaw on my wall coming to eat mixed seeds, with Starlings and Feral Pigeons today, 2 male Sparrows yesterday.
2 large gulls possibly GBBG's over h'den about 12 noon Monday......was not 100% sure as flying low over but had quite a dark back and large ..could also be european lbbg's sub-species? graelsi or whatever they are
I was busy doing sit-ups in my attic and as I stared up through the window something caught my eye. A long ointed winged bird appeared and soared gracefully. I thought to myself "I have not seen a Kestrel over my house for a while". Suddenly another appeared and then I realised the short tails. I jumped up and peered up and saw four of them circling and realised they were not falcons of any sort but Gulls. Nature's Gotcha!
Willow Warbler sining in or very close to Memorial Gardens in Haslingden, near the Helsmhore Road side. Its been singing on Monday and Wednesday and somewhat unusual to have one here.
