G.C.Grebe, 1 fishing on Clowbridge Res,

Canada Goose, 2 pairs on Clowbridge plus single at Greenfold,

Mallard, c50 all over the place!

Goosander, 4 redheads on "back pond" at Clowbridge,

Kestrel, female over Swallow Shore mobbed by Pied Wagtail,

Pheasant, several calling near Clowbridge,

Lapwing, Good numbers with 4 near Waggoners, 4 at Swallow Shore, 6 at Peers Clough and 6 at Greenfold, all looking paired up on territory,

Curlew, c10 birds in singles and pairs, several in display flight.

L.B.B.Gull, 3 over east,

Wood Pigeon, c50 including flock of 27 feeding at Peers Clough,

Stock Dove, 3 at Peers Clough,

G.S.Woodpecker, single at Clough Bottom,

Skylark, c20, many in song,

Pied Wagtail, c6 especially at Swallow Shore,

Song Thrush, in song at Clowbridge & Clough Bottom,

Mistle Thrush, in song at Clowbridge, Clough Bottom and Peers Clough,

Wheatear, male on fence posts at Swallow Shore,

Stonechat, female on fence posts near Swallow Shore,

L.T.Tit, pair in Peers Clough,

Coal Tit, singing birds at Clowbridge and Clough Bottom,

Jackdaw, 4 at Clough Bottom,

Rook, 4 flew into rookery at bottom of Dean Lane,

Starling, c50 including flock of 30 near Glory Pub,

Chaffinch, c30 in song,

Goldfinch, c8 in small flocks,

Greenfinch, 1 in Peers Clough,

Redpoll, flew over Liver Hill calling,

Siskin, 2 into conifers at Clowbridge,

Reed Bunting, singing birds at Clowbridge & Clough Bottom plus 3 calling from plantations near Compton's,

looking better for lapwings hope other areas do the same
