Buzzard over Snig Hole

At 12.30 pm today a buzzard flew slowly over Snig Hole at a height of only 30 feet, due to the number of sightings I think a pair have settled in the area.

A friend saw Buzzard over EBSW on Monday not a million miles away Dale so your theory may well be correct

Two Buzzards over Irwell Vale yesterday (Thurs). So two yes...a pair? can't say.

I had 3 over Musbury today morning. All displaying - one will have to lose out unless they are all males or all females. It was a grand feeling to see so many together - I have seen more together in other areas but never more than one in Rossendale. The way they hung in the air, soared and dived at one another was just majestic. They are a royal bird indeed and long over due in this part of the North West.

Good post Sarfraz, Buteo Buteo can be truly majestic and becoming a frequent sighting in the Valley, let's hope this continues.

If they do nest there maybe trouble ahead because they are very protective of their young and if there are public footpaths nearby they will attack people and dogs so the Countryside Rangers will need informing as soon as possible.

Just wondered any updates on the Buzzards? How many there might be and if they are attempting to nest anywhere at all?
