G.C.Grebe, pair on Ogden,

Cormorant, 1 flew up the valley,

Canada Goose, c15 pairs,

Mallard, c20,

Teal, pair on Calf Hey & 1 other pair,

Goldeneye, pair 7 female in Quarry,

Goosander, 2 redheads on Ogden,

Pheasant, 2 calling birds,

Moorhen, pair in quarries,

Golden Plover, flock of at least 30 on the tops 

Lapwing, c8 pairs,

L.R.P, pair seen twice but may have been same birds,

Snipe, 1 "chipping" at Holden Wood,

Oystercatcher, pair at Ogden,

Curlew 2/3 pair especially near Ogden,

B.H.Gull, 4 in quarries,

Stock Dove, pair in quarries,

Wood Pigeon, c30 in small groups or pairs,

Green Woodpecker, Yaffling well for first hour then went quiet,

G.S.Woodpecker, 1 drumming and 1 calling at Calf Hey,

Skylark, c20 singing on the tops,

Meadow Pipit, c30,

Pied Wagtail, 2 pairs,

Stonechat, pair near Ogden,

Wheatear, 3 near Ogden & 7 near Troy contained just 1 female,

Song Thrush, 4 singing birds,

Mistle Thrush, pair nest building carrying moss,

Coal Tit, c12,

Goldfinch, c12 in small charms up to 5,

Redpoll, 2 with goldfinch,

Greenfinch, 3,

Chaffinch, c30 singing birds,

Bullfinch, 2 groups,

Reed Bunting, 3 singing males.
