A very strange finch type bird landed in my garden and ate some dandelion seed, it was yellow and orange with a bit of black, not a goldfinch. I photographed it but I am struggling to post it on here, can anyone advise me how to do it?
The bird then flew off and hit a window and stunned itself, I managed to catch it before the neighbourhood cats and magpies arrived. It is now safely in a cage at a neighbours.

If you can email me the picture I can host it so that you then post it via a link if that's useful?
Obviously I would be cautious about caging a wild bird, if indeed it is wild, particularly at this time of year unless you are totally sure it is somebodies pet?
That bird is sure having a bad day.

Sorry was not trying to insinuate anything. What do you think it is?

The bird was very people friendly and when it was placed in a cage it seemed to be very happy, my view is a canary not of show standard, hence no ring.
