WAXWING in HELMSHORE
Permalink

Just seen a single Waxwing at the back of my house, its was eating berries on from a tree on the old railway line footpath, Gregory Fold area, Helmshore,  right where that hideous Barrett Wimpy development is going on.  The development is very noisy so I was really surprised to see it.

I rushed outside to get a phot but was unsuccessful.

But lovely see on a dull Monday morning.

they often have areas they rest at, feed at for example. They often do the rounds between those places so you may find they disappear and reappear regularly...and if they have food supplies they often hang around....still only one?

One is still lovely though.

Yeah only one

Not seen any since but will keep looking to be honest tree it was feeding from has very few berries left and its very noinsy too with all the construction work taking place, weve noticed a decline in the birds visiting the garden, so I'm wondering if this is why?!?
