The BTO are carrying out a survey into wintering thrushes in the UK.  It involves making at one visit to a chosen 1km square between 27th January 2012 and 10th January 2013.  Additional visits can be made if you wish.

The target squares around Rossendale are:

SD7821         Helmshore

SD7521         Musbury Heights

SD8428         SE of Crown Point - mainly bare upland habitat so unlikely to contain thrushes

SD8422         N of Stacksteads

Hi Jim,

I am already doing the Ramsbottom target square and have volunteered to cover the Helmshore square as well, if any one else wants to do Helmshore, two pairs of eyes are better than one.
