8 Crossbills flew to roost south towards ruins after feeding near to the little bridge for over an hour,also Raven,Tufted Duck 4,Canada Geese 54,Mallard 42,Coal,Blue & Great Tits. Regards, Dave Ousey

Thanks for posting a picture Steve,it looks better than when it was taken! Alas,no sign of the Crossbills this morning, although the rainy conditions may have played its part.Other birds at Cowm:-35 Mallard,7 Tufted Duck,30 BH Gull,4 Common Gull,3 Coal Tit,4 Blue Tit,10 Goldfinch,4 Blackbird,2 Dunnock,5 Robin,Mistle Thrush,2 Jay,6 Magpie,Raven being hastled by 2 Carrion Crows and winning,what superb birds Raven`s are to watch in the air,3 Wood Pigeon,4 Collared Dove,3 Goldcrest ,we have had a small influx of this species in the last couple of weeks.

At least 4 Crossbills still present near the little bridge at the north end of Cowm Res at 3-00pm,also Goosander and 10 Tufted Ducks.
