Holden Wood:-
House Sparrows chipring in the hedges opposite Holden Arms, dont know how many though.
Dunnock singing.
max of 8 Cormorants on both reservoirs.....including the beautiful white headed one....
1 Grey Heron
35 lapwing on the road side of holden wood. one displaying around the farm with possible 4-5 others present.
plenty of Black-headed Gulls, Carrion crows
2 Oystercatchers
Wren singing
Robins singing
On the Tops:-
2 Ravens displaying, one tumbling annd cronking spectacularly. Quite a big bird one of them.
6 Lapwing heading lower down from Musbury
Fairy Glen:--
Put up a coconut fat feeder and within minutes 2 Great Tits on it, with Blue Tits and Chaffinches nearby. Wren singing.
Calf Hey:-
Goosander pair
Mallard pair
9-10 Teal
Ogden:-
7 Cormorants - prob same birds as Holden Wood, toing and froing
1 Great Black Backed Gull on the water
at least 20 Lapwing - must have moved from HW as not present on way back
plenty of BH Gulls upto about 30 easily somemoving north
Back on Grey Heron still present and some of the Cormorants.
1 Mallard
at least 60 Gulls with at least 1/4 Common Gulls
Oinks still there.
